Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls (RoS)
After torrents of great news for the future of D3, I am excited and look forward to the new content. As unconfirmed but rumored, there could be a beta for Loot 2.0/New Paragon System in end 2013 and I speculate the released of D3: RoS in July 2014.

What have I been doing?
So what I did the last 2 months ago was flipping the AH and I did made some gold. Other than flipping stuff, I also looked into commodities investing and placed a few long term investments. Hopefully this will give me a head start in the coming months.

What will I be doing?
In the coming months I will continue to level paragon as its been confirmed that your paragon experience will be brought over to the new system.

What's gonna happen is, the new paragon system will converge all your experience points of all your existing characters into a single entity and exceed P100 if possible - all character will share perks and contribute experience to the new paragon system. Blizzard has revealed that the perks are points related by gaining paragon levels, so higher paragon = more advantage.

Given the existing experience requirement to gain from the P90 to P100 bracket, leveling beyond the current cap will take some people days or some even months probably. Nothing has been confirmed by Blizzard as usual, but the idea itself is already solid and fair. I never have thought they could make use of the future paragon system and make it rewarding for people to play now. So given a chance for a head start for a die hard fan, why not?

A long wait is needed - Patch 1.09

July 2013 - It is winter
Much or so, D3 has entered a low season. The general chat is voiceless for many minutes with gold spammers occasionally flooding, zero friends online every time I'm in game (not that I have many friends but still...) and commodities getting cheaper. Worst part is Spring is quite far from here. This will be a tough period to braze through for the already long time players. I kinda like Blizz for asking people to take breaks off D3. It seems some how they know they will be back.

No point upgrading now

What is the point of gearing up when you know a big patch is coming in a few months time and especially the change is targeted on gear. I think for the time being, until there is more information on patch 1.09, it is not a good idea to spend large amounts of gold on upgrading. Of course, if you feel rich, please continue on with splurges to stimulate the slow economy.

The good side of waiting
I think this is a good time for new comers. Because the AH is over saturated with good gear for cheap prices. New characters that hit level 60 can get decently geared at a cheap price with a 10m budget. One other thing that can be done concurrently is to farm for DE (Demonic Essences) and keep them UNP (Until Next Patch). Blizzard has more or less acknowledge that there will be adjustments in crafting, so there is some point to stock them up now.

Hi Guys, my first post

Its been over a year since Diablo 3 is launched. Thinking back a year ago, I can still remember the hype and the extreme long queue people make to get their hands on a copy. I can also recall how frustrated it was to log in and finally start on the game. Time really flies. Nowadays, the servers are not even crowded anymore.

D3 is no doubt a smashing hit. Most people have high expectation out of a Blizzard game and so did I. It did not disappoint until after a few play through, people realize that it lacks end game content and how the Auction House made the game boring. One year to realized the real problem is a bit too long, not to mention the long wait for minor patches. Perhaps the company grew too big – like titanic, steering a ship this size takes time, to be fair.

However the status of the game now, I think Blizzard has finally a good idea and promised the next – patch  to be loaded with big changes and new features. They sound very promising, but with a very long wait of at least 5 months from now with little information.

I think to myself: “winter is coming”, the time from now till the next patch could potentially be the most boring wait a person can do (hopefully not…). The D3 community has always been awesome and hopefully the developers takes an idea or two from the fans. Ultimately,  I think that improving D3 takes time.
Have Fun! :p
